You might have noticed, over the weekend a few things have changed about the ECS FC.
Let's face it though, kicking the Timbers Army's ass is not one of the new things. Both ECS FC teams dealt with the TA FC teams quite soundly. The first game was a 7-0 win and it was apparent within the first few minutes of the match, this would not be a contest. The second game (that decides the Cascadia Supporters Cup) was a 4-1 win, with the only Portland goal of the weekend coming in the final minutes of the match. It was an amazing day with beautiful football, chants, smoke, and ECS FC going 3-0-1 for the overall record.
First off, you might have noticed our jerseys are sporting our new sponsor's logo, one that the Emerald City Supporters are very familiar with. After the successful launch of the No Equal beer, talks began about a possible sponsorship with ECS FC. After the hard work of some of our staff we're proud to announce Red Hook as our new sponsor. For the next two years you will see Redhook proudly worn on our jerseys (and a very good chance you will see our kits for sale at their brewery!)
You also may have noticed our new crest. We realize it isn't done very often, but with the growing size of ECS FC, we decided it was time to make our crest a little more distinguishable from the standard ECS crest. This crest nicely shows the heart of the ECS logo in the skull, along with the traditional laurel leafs, the year the club was created and calling out that we are the Football Club of the ECS. Another great work of art from our designers.
Finally, you probably noticed our kit partner has changed, as we have now partnered with Adidas. The kits you saw this weekend are the club's 3rd and 4th kits. (Yeah. We roll that deep.) We have worked with Adidas to create customs kits that should be arriving in the next month or so. This weekend's showing was a great effort between Adidas and Schmetzer's Sporthaus to get us kits in time to unveil all of this greatness for the big game so keep an eye out for our Home and Away kits in the next month!
Oh, and you might be reading this from our brand new website created and managed by our awesome web and design crews. This will be the new home for ECS FC and this is just the tip of the iceberg for what they have planned for us, so keep coming back!
Take Em All!
ECS FC is happy to announce a new partnership with West Coast Goalkeeping.
The partnership between West Coast Goalkeeping & ECS FC will include an exclusive discount of 20% for anyone in the club! The discount is for everything on the West Coast Goalkeeping site, www.westcoastgoalkeeping.com using discount code ECS. West Coast will also actively donate in any charity events or activities the club takes part in! This will be a big deal to our players and charity organizers and we are very excited about this partnership!
A little about West Coast Goalkeeping...
Born in the Pacific Northwest, West Coast Goalkeeping was created to bring the best quality gloves in the world to all keepers at every level, at a great price. Keepers wear them every day: in training, in matches - so it’s just as important that they love them too! Every one of West Coast’s goalkeeper gloves sold is identical to the match gloves that their professional goalkeepers wear! Their gloves are worn by keepers in Scottish Premiere League, Irish Premiere League, La Liga, the FA Cup, NCAA, NWSL , USL Pro NASL and Major League Soccer!
ECS FC’s goalkeepers will be outfitted by West Coast Goalkeeping for our annual matches against Timbers Army FC. We can't thank them enough for their generous donation to help us achieve victory this year.
The club worked very hard to make this happen. It is a privilege to be associated with not only a worldwide company, but one that is based locally as well. We are very lucky to be one of the few amateur clubs to be associated with West Coast Goalkeeping, please support our new partner as they support us.
Take 'Em All and STAND YOUR GROUND!
